Shiva Day Twenty-seven
There is an exhaustive list of religious people in Hinduism, including gurus,
saints, monks, yogis, and spiritual masters.
ü They
never claimed Divine powers, never claimed super Human Magic
possession
ü They
had extreme Scriptures knowledge and experiential base when talking with the world.
ü They
took students, Disciples who are still inspiring the world with their
message
ü They
were Yogis with no materialistic possession
ü They
never claimed themselves to be an Avatar, though their disciples called them
out of devotion and love.
ü They concentrated on the Core
Beliefs of Hindus as listed below;
- Truth is eternal. Hindus pursue knowledge and
understanding of the Truth: the very essence of the universe and the only
Reality.
- Brahman is Truth and Reality.
- The Vedas are the ultimate authority.
- Everyone should strive to achieve dharma.
- Individual souls are immortal. ...
- The goal of the individual soul is moksha.
Many of these gurus, saints, monks, yogi’s spiritual
masters are respected in their movements and teachings; they have a Vedic
tradition of spreading Vedic knowledge. Many who do not satisfy these conditions
are considered cultic or occultists.
Jainism and
Buddhism do
not attach themselves to Vedic knowledge hence they stand as a religion on their
own. (Buddhism is centered upon the life and teachings
of Gautama Buddha, whereas Jainism is centered on the
life and teachings of Mahavira.)
God is everything and everywhere, but the
active Spiritual presence is like a fire that must continuously be kept aglow.
Countless inspired beings have contributed to this effort. Many of their
names have been lost to eternity. There are many living or dead enlightened
people and beings who have given gifts to the world by surrendering to the
truth within.
Brahman is God
